This blog is an outgrowth and continuation of an idea that was given to me by our Station Manager, Dino. Dino is simply full of wonderful suggestions for what I should do with my time and talents. 
The original idea was for this to be a blog of my personal journey through independent media, but I quickly found that my idea of personal was in fact too personal for other people to relate to. So I have shifted gears a bit to make this more of an informational blog of what is going on in the world of local and independent media. Hopefully it can lead to some kind of cross fertilization for those of us who do this important work.
Independent media is more important than ever in today’s world of consolidated and homogenized corporate mouthpieces. Whether it is music, news or views, it seems most everything has been both flattened and tilted to the corporate world view. Media, not religion, now seems to be the opiate of the people.
I find that Indy media wakes me up, inspires thought and creatvity and is an enourmously important voice in our world. I hope you will agree and join me on this journey.
